Hurricanes forward Stefan Noesen spoke to WRAL Sports following a practice day in Newark. Noesen talked about special teams, how to get more pucks on net and the confidence going in to game two
No, not really. I mean, I thought we, you know, we had our chances. Um, you know, I think obviously the special teams are going to be huge in this and uh they were, you know, they got it. Yes, last game and uh we just got to, you know, kind of go over it and make sure we sh sh a few things but maintain that same 505 ever, as you kind of just mentioned, maintaining things. But, you know, is this more of just the little things, details, stick with what you guys do. Not so much a blow it up and change anything. Yeah. You know, I thought, you know, the only, the only thing I, I would say total is just, we need to shoot the puck a little more. Um I think we tried to make a future me plays here and there, but overall, you know, they've locked, you know, quite a few shots. So it's just kind of sticking with our game and make sure we create some, some traffic and make it, make it difficult on him too. You guys are such a shot ball team and just kind of notice, I think 14 shots are too. Was it something that they were doing or is it just kind of the game the way? Uh, yeah, and there's certain things that we, we kind of picked up on that they were doing, but, you know, again they blocked, I think 12 shots in the second period. So, um, could have been a couple more, a few less. But I think it was, that's kind of the stat we saw and, um, you know, can't, can't walk every single puck, right. So it's just keep shooting. It's keep, uh, keep getting into the net and, um, you know, creating your own balances and chances to do things make things a little bit more difficult, just take his eyes away and get in front of him. Um, you know, it's gonna be a battle. So, uh, anytime you, you can just take it, take his eyes away and, and just get, get in the way and, um, make it more difficult on him is, is gonna be, uh, you know, an added benefit for us, any confidence or I guess you should have given you guys confidence the way we were able to build a game five on five there in the first. Yeah, you know, I think overall our five on five game is pretty good. Um, you know, they obviously scored, you know, two minutes in the game that was five on five, but the rest of them were all power play. So just, uh, you know, maintaining that, that 505 effort, um, you know, we feel confident in that but, you know, it's, it's, you know, one day at a time, one game at a time and, you know, things change every single game, they adjust, we adjust. So, um, it's just, it's, you know, who can adjust better during the games. And, um, we had a lot of relief in this locker room, so.
