Seth Jarvis is like the little brother to the Hurricanes veterans, a role he's played his whole life. Seth's big brother Kayden shares what it was like growing up Jarvis and how it helped make Seth the player he is today.
It's one thing to be a fan. It's another to be family. It's an atmosphere like no other. So I'm excited to get to see it finally live. Ken Jarvis just flew in to watch his little brother Seth. It's so crazy to think that he's playing in the S cup playoffs. It's awesome. Ken is six years older, growing up Seth always idolized him. He's been kind of my guy since I've, since I can remember, I've always wanted to be him. He, he was my role model. He was my hero growing up. Caden is embracing the role reversal. Now growing up, we, we did everything together and, you know, I'm sure there were times where I'm like, oh, great Seth's coming, my little brother. He's annoying now, looking at it in hindsight, it was, you know, it's the biggest compliment you can receive as a, as an older sibling. They grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. Ken went on to play in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Seth was the little kid living at the rink. We were lucky, we lived right uh our backyard back onto an outdoor rink. So he would be out there like we'd wake up in the morning, like where's Seth? And then we look out the kitchen window and he's on the ice just messing around. The ring's not even open. So we just got dressed on the bench outside. Here we go. Here we go. Ken is coming off his first season as a skills and video coach in the Western hockey league. So it was great to kind of learn more the, the system side and that side of the game because I hadn't done that in a few years. Seth just had a breakout season for Jarvis, obviously, playoffs is a whole different animal. So just trying to carry that's except from the regular season on the on it now, from the frozen pond to the biggest stage they are still in it together.
