Hey there, look at Paris getting ready for the summer Olympics. It feels like summer already. The countdown clock across the Seine behind me there says 100 and 82 days to go. Some of the questions with six months to go. Are they really gonna have swimming competitions in the Seine? One thing I can tell you for certain, they are having the opening ceremony on the Seine. That is gonna be spectacular for the first time. An opening ceremony has been held outside of a stadium and they're going to be using so many venues across uh Paris. The place de La Concorde, for example, underneath the Eiffel Tower itself, there will be uh the beach volleyball. We had a chance to go and look at one venue that has been built from scratch. Uh That's the athletes village. We got to go inside an apartment. It looks like it's ready. They say it's gonna be ready in six weeks time with uh six months to go to answer that question. By the way, are they really gonna have swimming competitions in the Seine? The mayor of Paris says that in July, she will jump in the water to prove that it's safe. Kir Simmons, NBC News Paris.
