Cam released by Panthers....good
I never was a big fan, and his super bowl sealed it...
They got rid of Steve Smith for Cam.......terrible..
Smith went on to several good seasons with the ravens, while Panther receivers that replaced him did nothing.....nothing -

Couldn't agree more. The other forums aren't even hardly worth looking at any longer. As far as Cam goes, I'm not sure that I've seen many players that enjoy the game as much as he does. You can see it on his face and in his actions during a game. Plus the kids in the end zone love him.

Watching the Panthers game. The Panthers are getting sloppy. Big mistake to play like the game is won when Seattle is making a game if it.

Talk about the Cardiac Cats. Good thing they had that 31 point lead going into the second half.

Been on vacation guys. I never sit at a computer unless I'm at work. Like I said B pressure Manning (and we didn't), win the turnover battle (and we didn't), game over!! Manning did have a lot of drops.

Happy New Year to you also JG. I figured that Seattle would make adjustments at the half and the 2nd half would be different. You can never count either of these 2 teams out when they play each other. I do think the Cats will hold on though.

+1....When you get 'em down like that, keep pounding on 'em until there is no doubt it's over.

Hard to keep up the intensity with such a big lead, but time to move on to Arizona. The Panthers most likely won't be able to build such a huge lead next week, so hopefully they'll refocus and get back to work. Hope Olsen is OK - that was a viscious hit he took.
— Posted by StunGunnAgree with ya about the intensity thing. Easy to let up mentally when you're rolling over your opponent. But, they did enough in the 1st half to get it done. Don't see #88 sitting very often.

Sometimes you can play a spectacular games worth of football in the first half and can afford to fool around in the second.
In my opinion - Carolina's last possession of the first half set them up for their play in the second. You're up 31-0, at home, with a little over a minute left in the first half and you don't put the ball in the air even once?

Anyone remember when one would have to argue the fact that Cam was well on his way to becoming an elite QB? Not only is he now that, but he's the MVP for an entire regular season.
This is my testimony and I hope it inspires all of you to hold strong to what you believe and don't let the skeptics break your faith.

But those in the know knew that Newton had to have help. Who knew that the Panthers would build that help in-house.

Lynch is the kind of player who gets so wrapped up in himself that he becomes a distraction to the team. Teams don't need guys like him, imo.............I'm sure he's misunderstood. lol
— Posted by DIAMONDBISHOP
lol at being misunderstood for sure.
The Panthers will face their toughest opponents in their NFC games IMHO. The "reward" for beating Seattle (and I hope they do!!) is most likely Arizona, who is a very good team. I don't see any team in the AFC posing as tough a matchup for the Panthers as their NFC opponents. If they make it to the SB, I like their chances.
Sure hope they can get it done this year. 15-1 will be a distant memory if they don't cap it off with a ring. Losing to Seattle would be an awful way to end a special season, but the Panthers should be ready and very focused and motivated.
— Posted by StunGunn
+1....Gonna be tough to cut through Seattle and Arizona but they have the tools to get it done. They're 15-1 so they're gonna catch everybody's best shot. Hope they pull it off because they deserve it.
— Posted by DIAMONDBISHOP
Thanks, B. I'm nervous about this game. Seattle was the LAST team I wanted to see The Panthers face. Other than the last play of last year's SB, Seattle always seems to have a rabbits foot up their rear ends and catch the lucky breaks, like the missed 27-yarder by Minnesota. Gotta give credit where it's due, though, RW is a very smart young man.
— Posted by StunGunnAgree with ya...Seattle does seem to get lucky. I'm with the poster who posted that he can't see the Panthers losing this one. I would be shocked if it goes down like that. Panthers owe Seattle and the Cards. Panthers over Seattle.

I think Seattle will be Carolina's toughest test, and I hate that they are their first opponent. To be fair, if the Panthers can't beat Seattle, they shouldn't be in the SB, but it's still hard to stomach.
Your guys got a raw deal. Gotta play who you have, but like you said, look at all those pro bowlers who will be sitting on the sidelines for the game.
I see this year after year, and I think those four pre-season games are just too much wear and tear on the players. They make money, so the greedy NFL won't give those games up, and people pay to see the stars, not the bench warmers. Just too much abuse for the body to take. -

Thanks Gunny and B. ben did tough it out. I don't think we have a chance with Landry Jones in Denver against the number one defense in the NFL. Ben said today if I cant throw the ball past 20 yards I'm hurting the team and I agree. Even if Brown plays he wont be much of a factor without Ben. If my boys do win it will be because of our defense and forcing turnovers.
Burfict and Jones SMH. Marvin Lewis is a good coach, but he doesn't have control of those two. Burfict made a pick and ran into the locker room like the game was over and then they fumble and give it back. Jones saying Brown is faking is unbelievable!!

Vegas only has Panthers at -2.5 . I don't care if they win by 1. I just want them to win!!!! They worked too hard and accomplished too much to let their year slip away. This is their big chance: between players with looming free agency, players expecting BIG paydays (Norman), and aging players, this is THE year for the Panthers.

I just refuse to believe the Panthers are gonna throw away a 15-1 season in the first playoff game at home.
Panthers BIG 45-13
— Posted by He Don't Play That!Agree with ya...I'd be surprised if the Panthers aren't ready to go. Going with the Panthers over Seattle.

So Minnesota's kicker (Walsh) misses a 27-yarder, and now the Panthers have to face a very hot and confident Seattle. Not what I wanted. Not at all. I sure hope the Panthers are prepared because they're going to have to play their best game to beat Seattle.

+1...Panthers better bring their A game.
— Posted by DIAMONDBISHOPIt's time for Seattle to pay the piper. I'm not one for predictions, but THIS time, Carolina ends THEIR season in the playoffs.

'Skins just got outplayed by Discount Double Check & Co. They were picked last by most, had a good season under the circumstances. They need to sign Cousins, make some improvements on D. If you're gonna lose, might as well lose to one of the best.
— Posted by DIAMONDBISHOP+1 Agree. Vegas and some talking heads had Washington winning this game, but I figured Rodgers would find a way to win, and he did.
Although he doesn't have all that much experience, gotta give credit to RW for what he did on that botched play when the ball ended up on the ground. He turned a mistake into a TD. Still not happy that the Panthers have to face Seattle, but hopefully they'll be prepared and remember what happened in last year's playoffs. -

Thought the Steelers were playing in Philly tonight. Cincy fans are a disgrace and #24 and #55 for the Bengals need to take Discipline 101. Congrats, T!

Heck of a game! Congrats, T. Bengals blew this one big time, but credit Big Ben for coming in after injuring his shoulder. Steelers/Broncos will be a good one!
— Posted by StunGunn+1....Steelers got it done when they had to. I usually refer to him as the 'Lake Tahoe Terror', but credit to Big Ben for toughing things out and getting it done late. That's what it's all about. You can rest after the season is over.
