I bet he is all class, T. Comes across as very humble and real. Look what he's been through. Said the first job he got after his NBA career ended paid $30K a year. Look at him now! Worked his tail off to get where he is, too.

Met him a few times a very classy guy. Every time I see him I tell him he is the best point guard in Duke history. He says every time, naw Mr. Bobby Hurley!!! LOL!

I like Kenny and Charles also. I have never liked Duke Vitale. Bilas thinks he is never wrong. When Hubert Davis was on ESPN he was too bias to UNC. I think Jay Williams does a good job.

    Funny about Bilas!
I actually like Kenny (admittedly, some of it may be due to his alma mater), and I like Ernie. Sir Charles is only good for comic relief IMHO. He may be a hall of famer, but he usually seems hungover, and I don't find his comments insightful, but maybe it's just me. I agree that these guys don't watch the college games, and it's obvious by their comments.

if Dr. Phil and David Glenn had a child It would be Jay Bilas, some of these lower tier coaches no more about basketball than Bilas, Vitale and Jay Williams put together-wish they would get these guys that do pro games off the broadcast- Barkley is ok but Ernie and Kenny Smith are terrible.

ACC proving they're the best basketball Conference with six teams dancing into the Sweet 16! Yesterday's games were great - so exciting, buzzer beaters, Texas A&M coming back from 12 down with less than a minute in regulation.

Max - Agree about S.A. Austin. Very happy for ND, but how heartbreaking for S.A. Austin - they played their hearts out.

Bilias insisting there's no "parity" in college basketball, but after seeing all the lower seeds beating the higher seeds (Michigan State), I'm not so sure. Bilas is right in that the major conference teams are the ones cutting down the nets and winning it all, but I'm impressed with how the smaller, less heralded teams are playing, and they're not at all intimidated by the so-called blue bloods.

12-1, Stephen F Austin lost a heart breaker but they won thousands and thousands of fans- I personally will be watching them next year every chance I get. They could be the next Gonzaga -talk about the luck of the Irish. Maybe some of these guys at the lower tier should be considered for coach of the year, a lot when given the chance do well against the big boys with less talent. If they get a 2 star player it is probably a major coup to them.

Love the first two days of the tourney!!!! 16 games on each day - wall to wall basketball.

The Masters may be like "nothing else" , but it signals the end of college b ball, so it's sad to me, and time to do the countdown to football.

Totally agree Max. These kids play their hearts out. Take a team lightly and you may go home. Stephen a plays the race card too much. He went to WSSU with a couple of my friends and they say he was terrible and just talked a good game and Big House Gaines loved him. Skip has a excuse for his teams when they lose. Loved it when Jalen Rose called him out. Skip said he was the star on his high school team and Jalen did some research and averaged 1.4 as a junior on JV and never made it to varsity. LOL!

Bayless is never happy about anything I think he thrives on misery-he is paired with another hopeless human being! The fact that most of these guys in the NCAA won't be playing pro is the reason I love this tournament, they are out there giving it everything they got-if you enjoy basketball, this weekend is heaven you can watch wall to wall basketball, several David and Goliath storylines, personally I don't watch pro's since the rules have become very liberal.

Marshall always has his team ready.

all these teams are not gonna play great in at least 2 of their games-just depends on the match up and how they compensate otherwise-to me that is what makes this fun to watch-Pitt can rebound but if they catch a team shooting lights out-hard to get a rebound if it goes in. Syracuse will have to be shooting lights out to advance to next week-75% they don't make it. Virginia, N.D., UNC, Duke and Miami have a better than 60% of making it.

Was listening to Skip Bayless this morning on how he dislikes NCAA basketball. SMH! He says the tourney is overrated and over coached and half the rosters have zero NBA players. He only thinks NBA anyway. These young men live for this. A lot know their careers are over after their schools get beat, but they pour their hearts and play hard. I work around people that also don't get the hype during March Madness. I give up trying. Last point, its game seven every night in the NCAA tourney unlike the NBA!!

Looking for to a Baylor/Duke matchup. Please Mr. Grayson Allen please don't try and trip Mr. Rico Gathers.

    Cont'd:
shot, it's tough to beat other elite teams who can really shoot the three. I don't have any 12-seeds beating a 5 this year. One interesting stat I heard this morning: No #1-seed that didn't win their first game by double digits has ever won the tourney. Hope Carolina and UVA win big in their first round!

You were pretty accurate with your brackets, beachblast!
I think it will come down to Kansas and Michigan State, going with caulk, and since I'm terrible at upsets, that's what I went with. I did put Oregon in one of my brackets as the winner. I'd love to see a Kansas/UNC Championship game, with Roy cutting down the nets. I haven't watched any Oregon, Kansas games, and only a few minutes of Michigan State's tourney championship game, so I'm not a good judge of their strengths or weaknesses.

I think Syracuse may lose their first game, and Pitt won't make it past the first weekend either. Miami can look really good, and then have a loss like the one in Raleigh. If Carolina had all their players show up and play their best ball, they'd be hard to beat, but that hasn't happened all season. They have really improved, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but not sure it's enough to beat Kansas, unless Paige finds his three-point

can't see any ACC team going 6 games without a misstep-Miami can look great at times just depends on which game get them, they could go down 2thru 6
Duke short bench will to them ceiling final 8, Syracuse just happy they got in couple of break they could to sweet 16-Pitt can look great but like krap and they can do it in the same game.
Notre Dame has a better shot than Duke,Pitt,Miami and Syra. but think they will short fuse somewhere ceiling final.
Virginia and UNC has a better shot than any ACC team to get past final 8, UNC matchups will depend on how they do Poor shooting will do them in. Va will be ok as long as they can control the tempo-after first weekend they will find it hard to do this. As a hold I think overall the ACC does good, but I see Kansas, Oregon or West Va.cuttin down the nets, but just like all my brackets over the years, I may look like an id---ot
    just my 2 cents

I'll suffer through any color analyst as long as it isn't Dickie V. It's just my opinion, but I think Burke and Antonelli are similar. Both do a decent job.

Talking about arrogant and not accepting any opinion other than their own - I think Gold takes the cake on that one. He was so condescending after the Duke/ND game, saying "Duke did NOT run out of gas". Beg to differ, Mr. Know It All, Gold. It's one thing to have a difference of opinion, but at least respect the other person, and Gold didn't even want to entertain the possibility that Duke was running on fumes in the second half of the ACCT game against ND.

agree on VT maybe next year-Bilas is almost like ESPN's version of David Glenn-very arrogant, no opinion matters more than his, if you disagree you are so wrong-I may be aging myself but Jim Thacker was one of the best Play-Play guys around- some of the ones now are not bad-Debbie Antonelli not sure if I spell her name right should move up on the ACC network, she gives you straight facts and doesn't put to much spin maybe the acc net should maybe move her up in the booth, I would like her better Doris Burke.

The color analysts were yapping through all the games and I found it very annoying and distracting. Bilas and Shulman were just as bad as G-Man and Brandt. Background info is interesting, but not what I want to hear when a foul is called, and they're not even talking about the foul - they're talking about their hair (or lack thereof, etc.)

During the Carolina/ND game, they weren't even talking about the game.

I think VT may make the Tourney as soon as next year. Buzz is a nut, but he can coach. VT has improved a lot from last year!

Looks like Buzz Williams is taking them to the next level(the level Seth couldn't get to) believe they will make NCAA's in couple of years.
Does anyone remember the North/South Double header in Charlotte-NCSU-UNC vs Clemson and South Carolina- wish Pack and UNC would start up that again NCSU/UNC against maybe Georgia/Florida and switch the next night. Just my 2 cents.
