  packing up heading to Holden Beach, maybe play round of golf, will grill out sat night and forget about the outside world around 80 and sunny sat. 75 and sunny sun. maybe watch a little golf, then head back for mundane monday.

  Heard the spurs didn't make it- good luck to Tim Duncan- great player, class act heard he give back to his communities in San Antonio, Winston Salem and the Virgin Isles, what a class act! to bad so many athletes in NBA, NFL MLB and NHL are A-holes and its a high pct. too.

  Big fan of Timmy D! Because I'm a fan, I hope he calls it a day. I'd hate to see him come back and have his body break down like Kobe's. I was hoping the Spurs would beat OKC, but I do like KD and Westbrook. Duncan is a great story - he was training to be an Olympic swimmer! Did you know today was Hayes Purmar's last day? Too bad - I really liked his work. I hope he does will, and I bet he does, as he's very talented. Can't imagine who will take his place.

  listen to glenn's show one day this day after about 15 mins. after hearing one of his tirades about him being an expert on certain matters and people that disagree better know what they are saying or he will call you got out and embarrass you.
  I must have missed an earlier caller, he seems p.o'd, I am sure that the people that have to work with him behind the scenes could tell some good stories about the expert. Hayes seems to go along with him on everything he says but I am sure he probably does it to keep things on even keel.

  played golf today, picked up steaks on the way back just fired up the grill, waiting for it to get ready, ride down to provisions later, we will have a couple of beers head back watch a movie till I fall asleep, man I love the beach it is a nice get away.

  T- I LOVE the summer Olympics! Basketball, swimming and diving, track and field - great events, and I'm looking forward to watching.
  
  Caught Game 7 Toronto/Heat. Was glad to see Toronto win - they've never been to a Conference Final.
  
  Sick of Curry as well. Great guy, very talented, but enough is enough. I hope LeBron gets a ring with the Cavs - would be great for him.

  Yes - Coastal is a very good b ball team! Tough way for the Pack's season to end - that was a very close call to make on the catch/trap situation.

  Funny how Warrior fans think the NBA is rigged because they are getting beat. Four of the six fouls were legit. Same play that Curry got ejected he would have said he was fouled! It was the same excuse in the OKC series. Green suspension was his fault. Now the Cavs have beat the warriors twice. also Curry should put his wife in her place. All you see is her and his mother being loud mouths at the games. How many other wives, girlfriends, or mothers do you see acting that way? Question, does anyone see Lebron's wife acting that way? I wonder why? Sure hope the Cavs win!!!

  The local sports media and national media are going nuts -saw where Curry's wife said it was fix, if its rigged then he has to be in on it!!!= if Warriors win the media will say we knew it the time Warriors were the superior team, If Cavs win it was rigged, fix. wonder if glenn has gave a lecture on conspiracy theory today. I watch 5 mins of the game either friday or saturday- whenever game 4 was-you gotta give it to the Cavs fans they were in the game-love to see Cleveland get a Championship

  I'm pulling for the Cavs to win it all, but with Game 7 at Golden State, I don't think it will happen. Curry is acting like a spoiled brat, throwing his mouthpiece (which he never seems to actually keep IN his mouth), his whiny wife complaining about the series being fixed, etc. So sick of Golden State.

  A friend just told me it was fixed because 3 of the fouls were not fouls. GS players never think they foul. They complain about every call against them. I asked him about the first 3 and he said they were legit. Then how was it fixed? Agree Gunny sick of GS. Curry's wife really went overboard. If GS had won the series would it have been rigged? OKC gave it to them with the late turnovers. Hard to win a game 7 on the road. I see GS getting all the calls tomorrow.

  So happy for LeBron and for Cleveland!! LeBron overcame all the odds, won three straight against the reigning champs, just remarkable. FIRST team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit and go on to win the Championship. Take THAT, Steph and your whiny wife. Congrats to LeBron and the Cavs. He accomplished what he set out to do many years ago, and NO ONE can take this away from him.

  fast week its Friday already, this weekend will be kinda laid back, can't wait for football season to crank up-July 8th already 1/3 of this month is gone, beginning the planning of my Military unit reunion next year, 50 years since spending a hot summer in friendly confines of the Republic of Vietnam-TGIF that's my 2 cents

  Friend of mine told me Stephen A shouldn't have said Durant made a weak move by going to GS. I told him Stephen A just said what a lot of ESPN guys etc want to say. I see why a lot of people don't like the NBA. Oh well another year of bandwagon GS fans!!

  T - I'm not a Stephen A fan, but I was glad he said what KD did was weak. Of all the teams, he has to pick the team his OKC was 48 minutes away from eliminating??? I get he wants a ring, but hate yo see him with the Golden Boys. Wish he went to the Cavs. Don't blame Wade for leaving Miami though

  Gabby looked to serious. She should relax and have fun like she did in 2012. Was pulling for the young lady from Hamlet. Boy I played a lot of baseball in Richmond county.
  Was pulling hard for Johnny Dutch from Clayton in the 400 hurdles. I knew Jackson from St. Aug's would have a tough time because of lane one. You better have a good time in the heats.

  Gabby looks so grown up! She's a beautiful young lady, and so smart and poised. Guess you grow up fast with so much pressure on you. Glad she made the team after the rough scores on beam. I'm also glad to see the gymnasts look so muscular instead of the malnourished stick figures they used to be.
  
  How about Timmy Duncan!! Glad he's calling it a day. He's too good of a player to go out like Kobe. Much respect and admiration for TD. Wish there were more like him. I still laugh when I see replays of the 2 T's he got back in '07. First one was a joke, and then he's on the bench smiling and laughing and gets the second T and gets tossed. What a joke that ref was.
  
  Hope Team USA can bring back the Gold. Won't be as easy without LeBron, and Curry, but at least Kyrie and KD are playing.

  T - I don't begrudge Kobe playing out his contract. It was just sad to see one of the best, most competitive players lose to Father Time. All his injuries and age affected his game. He did go out with a bang, though!

  Gunny I wish their were more like Kobe, Mike, Ewing, Malone, etc. These guys today are all about joining forces and playing with friends than playing for pride. Why even watch the NBA next year because there is no way the Warriors should lose. How can you join a team that knocked you out of the playoffs 3 straight years?

  T - Exactly about joining the team that beat you!!! Commissioner Silver isn't happy about the KD move either. ESPN talking heads said ratings ate way up and fans will tune in to watch GS. Not me!!! Exactly - how can they lose with KD, Curry, Thompson, Green. Not a fan of this at all.

  I think the birds win this one, Max. Have to admit when Brady got emotional when the kid asked him who his hero was, and he choked back tears, I was impressed. Saw a different side of him.
