    Well said, T! Yeah - bet Georgia's defensive coordinator didn't prepare for the second string, true freshman QB that Saban put in the game. When you think of everything that was going wrong for Alabama (down by 13 points in the third quarter, player punches a Georgia player, then takes a swing at his own coach, QB takes a big sack in OT, and they WIN the game????

    I was surprised that Saban took Hurts out, but that's why is the best in the business. Freshman came in and did the job. Young man reminds me of Russell Wilson. UGA got too conservative the second half. Saban the Coach K of college football.

    Max - the Bowl that "stunned" me was the Navy/UVA game. I wasn't so sure about my pick, but I never expected UVA to get pounded the way they did. I hope I'm wrong about the Clemson/Bama Bowl. I'd rather lose in our prediction wager than see Saban in the Championship game. I had thought Oklahoma would win it all, but I saw that Mayfield has the flu or some bug. I don't like the kid - he reminds me too much of Johnny Football, but he can play. Not sure about how he'd fare in the NFL, but for a college QB, he's very good.

    teams south of N.C. are 4-1 Big 4 3-0-with a Clemson ACC can still have winning pct. Miami and BC had tough match-ups but played well, Louisville should have their game

    I remember Frost playing for the 'Huskers & winning a NT. Remember him being very passionate as a player & a tremendous competitor. Seems to have carried that with him as a coach. Hope he gets the 'Huskers back to their winning ways. Used to look forward to the Neb/Okl games back in the day. Didn't get any better than those 2 going at it.

    Hope Frost can bring success to "Big Red" as well. Nebraska has such a storied past in football, but has fallen on tough times for a while now. This has been a very tumultuous time in the coaching carousel, and hopefully all the pieces will fall in place soon. I wonder who will take the FSU job. Surprised that Jimbo got a jumbo contract at A&M.

    yea was impressed with Frost, I hope he get Nebraska back, remember the Okla/Nebraska games growing up- was a must watch during TG holidays, always went with Nebraska.

    Max - I wouldn't be shocked if Wiscy beat OSU. I hope they do, to tell the truth. I struggled with that pick more than any of the others. JT Barrett had knee surgery earlier in the week, and he's playing today, so he can't be at 100%. Can't believe college football is almost over and we have to wait till September for it to start up again.

    OK, here goes. These were hard to predict because I don't watch the teams in other conferences.
    Clemson defeats Miami
    USC over Stanford (this was a very tough one for me to pick; no confidence I'm right)
    Oklahoma over TCU
    Auburn beats Georgia
    Ohio State defeats Wisconsin (this was the hardest for me to pick. I hope I'm wrong!)
    Good luck going against these picks, Max - it may work out well for you. I'm looking forward to the Clemson/Miami game more than anything. I wish the ACC could get two teams in, but I don't see that happening.

    Max - the biggest reason Alabama got bounced is their SOS. Taking thst into consideration, I can see why they're #5. Their one loss was to a very good team, though.

    As much as I'm sick of Alabama. I agree about them sliding to 5 after one loss to a team in the playoffs, while Clemson loses to Syracuse and is #1. Miami has been exposed and I expect them to lose to Clemson. I think Oklahoma wins. Not sure about Wiscy/OSU or Stanford/USC. Will post my picks Friday.

    couple of upset and Alabama and Ohio St -slide back in and the committee is happy, ESPN is happy--show how crazy it is--Alabama's 1 loss is too #2 and Clemson's 1 loss is to a team that not going to a bowl yet Clemson is #1 and Alabama is #5-

    still think Miami is a fraud, they have played well above themselves 3 or 4 times but they could easily be a 4or 5 loss team-think if Clemson is on it could be ugly-lot of talk about Doeren and Tennessee, I think Tennessee h as a lot of baggage to deal but who knows there could be 42 millions reasons why it could happen. What was interesting was if Gundy left OSU and went to Tenn. OSU would go after Fedora, now its Doeren.

    It doesn't have playoff implications, but the USC/Stanford game has me stumped. I don't watch either team play, so I don't know anything about them. My gut tells me to go with Stanford, even though USC is higher ranked. Could be a lot of upsets this weekend, which would blow up the playoffs. I almost hope for chaos, but I think Clemson will beat Miami. Rozier just isn't a great QB - too unreliable. I hope Wisconsin beats Ohio State.

    OK. That's how I got a few - I picked against yours only to have a different pick, not because I really believed in the team I picked. Clemson/Miami is hard because they both lost to teams they had no business losing to. I'm going with Clemson in that match-up. Will make the other picks when I see the schedule.

    if Auburn beats Georgia in SEC champ game, I think they should be in over anybody other than Clemson, Wisconsin, Oklahoma-committee trying to figure out a way to get Ohio St in.

    So glad Auburn beat Bama yesterday. Would love to see Bama out of the playoffs. I wouldn't put Auburn in with two losses. Would have Clemson, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and not sure about 4th team.

    Ugly State/Carolina game. Too much extracurricular baloney from both teams. Just play the game. Bet Doeren was sweating it out for 2 1/2 quarters. Wonder who State will play in their bowl.

    I wouldn't want to be the one picking the last four. Clemson losing to USC could very well happen. Two losses shouldn't be allowed.

    Miami beating Clemson would be the ultimate ACC-ish thing to do, T! Miami was pulling wins out of their shorts in so many games, they were bound to lose. So it looks like the winner of the ACC-T will be the only ACC team in the playoffs. Clemson better beat South Carolina today!

    T - a few years go, Carolina lost to UNI in the beginning of the season. Paige was out with an injury. They came back to play in the Championship game, losing to 'Nova. Don't put too much into State losing to UNI. Maybe the players were riding the high of beating #2 Arizona, and looked past UNI.

    Don't think you have to sweat out the State/UNC game, T. Doeren's seat would be hotter than the surface of the sun if State loses to Carolina!

    Max - I meant to say L'Ville over Kentucky, not Kent State. But they'd beat them too, lol. Having doubts about the Florida/FSU game. Think Florida may win, since it's a home game, but I'll stick with my original pick of FSU beating them.

    L'Ville over Kent state
    BC over Syracuse
    Clemson over USC Pack over Heels (by at least 2 TDs, 35-17) Wake over Duke (toughest pick. Can see Duke winning, but picking Deacs) FSU over Florida, only because Florida is baaaad.

    Have to give a big congrats on your Pack's win over Arizona last night, Max! Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving to T and B as well!

    Wow - we're neck and neck, Max! Yes, good games to pick this week. Early pick: State over Carolina, and I don't think it will be close. State is not happy with the way their season has gone recently, and will end on a winning streak, bowl game included. Maybe we should pick the spread as well as the winner/loser of this rival game:)

    I really don't like Miami but hope its a close, there is still a chance for the pack to go to the Orange, if some games fall the right way, if Miami and Clemson have a close game and Clemson wins in a close one hopefully both can make playoffs.

    I want whichever team that will represent the ACC in the playoffs to win. Wish we could get two in, but it looks like the winner of the Miami/Clemson game will be the one in the playoffs,unless there's major chaos in the other conference games.
