    For starters...

Yankees over Twins - Yanks have the edge in hitting, advantage on the bump, Twins have the edge on D, picking the Yankees to win.

Indians beat the Red Sox- Cub beat Dodgers for a W/S repeat this time Cleveland wins it -at least I hope the Indians win.

I don't follow baseball like you guys, but just watching highlights and keeping up with the news, I think the Yanks beat the Twins. Would love to see the Indians win the WS this year - they sure have had a phenomenal season so far.

Win or go home Gunny. Think the Yankees will pull this one out 6-2 and the Rockies tomorrow.
Hope I'm wrong, but Indians/Dodgers WS with the Indians taking it in 6.

Yankees strength is their bullpen, but I don't trust their starting pitching.

Going with the D-backs over the Rockies - tough game to call. Two evenly matched teams.

Hats off to MLB, the Yankees & Twins for doing things the right way re: the anthem. Nice touch!

Game - both starters had some issues early locating their pitches. Good call on the pen, T. They came in & got the Twinkies under control after a rough 1st. Top of the Yankees order got it done too, Judge, Gregorius, Gardner & Sanchez - 3 bombs between 'em. Solid D. Several pitchers running it up to the plate in the upper 90s, saw sliders in the low 90s, Robertson has a nice curve, Chapman throwing 103...good Lord! That'd be like trying to hit a BB.

Nice start to the playoffs & classy move by the Yankees prior to the game, especially re: the Vegas situation and the player from Vegas. Was pulling for the Bronx Bombers tonight.

Driving home and it was 3-0. I really wasn't surprised. DiDi big time 3 run homer. Gardner jack knifed one in the upper deck, and Judge being Judge. Now its time for the Indians. Kluber not starting game one is a head scratcher.

Missed the start. The pen came through once again with Green, Robertson and company. Chapman good lord!! Centerfielder for the twins made a great catch. Reminds me of the Toddler 30 years ago. Not much of a stick, but could run them down.LOL!

I was surprised to see that as well. Just assumed he'd go in game 1. If they win game one, with Kluber next, gonna be tough to overcome that.

    Sorry T....Indians over Yankees

I know B I'm with you but I'm hoping!! Like I said I don't trust our starting pitching especially Sonny Gray or Tanaka. CC has been there.

Remember Cone, Wells, Pettite, and Elduque? Big game pitchers!!!!! I'm not counting Clemons because IMO we didn't need him. Plus he was from Boston!! LOL

Yep....those guys were tough. Pettitte won 256 games & has 5 WS rings (something about Louisiana & lefties), Boomer won 239 games & has 2 WS rings plus a perfect game, Cone has 194 Ws to go with his 5 WS rings, & El Duque has 4 rings. Tough crew & #WINNERS.

Meant to mention the catch by Buxton - great play. Even though the walls were padded, he slammed into it pretty hard, had to leave later but he made a great catch. Unlike me, you had wheels in the OF. Played third base & was an RBI guy. Used to be able to rake back in the day. The beauty of baseball is that you can win any number of ways. Nice to have sluggers in the lineup but good pitching generally stops good hitting overall, HRs are nice but you can win with small ball (KC) - helps to have good pitching (keeps you in games). Plus, I think all hitters should be able to bunt (for tight games when you have to scratch for a run late)

Bunting might be as hard as hitting. What people don't realize also is that Judge hits for average also .284. Yeah Ron Guidry was the man from Louisiana also. I agree its baseball anything can happen.
A relief pitcher hitting a triple. Speechless!

Agree with ya, T, on bunting. There is definitely an art to it, whether you're pushing it down the lines, or trying to push a bunt beyond the pitcher toward the SS or 2B'man, and into no man's land. Relief pitcher hitting a triple = you're going to have a bad night....lol...bad sign.

Missed the 'Stros game, hoping they send the Sox home.

Yankees/Indians - Wow! Great game in extras but the Indians are up as most expected. Yankees ain't going down w/o a fight though. Judge is struggling...lot of breakers off the outer portion.

Nats/Cubs - pulling for the Nats. Cubs got their ring last season.

D-backs/Dodgers - ain't gonna stay up to 1:00 or 2:00 to watch them.

Giradi why take CC out? Retired 11 of the last 12. Frazier errors??? Why not challenge what do you have to lose because the bases were loaded. Slow motion showed the ball hit the bat. Pinch runner that isn't that fast anyway and then gets picked off? DB 3 innings? I knew that was going to spell trouble. Couldn't sleep last night!!!! LOL!!!

Wow, T! After the Yankees made it 8-3, hate to admit it, but with CC shutting them down & knowing what was in their pen, I switched to the Cubs/Nats. Later, I see an 8-7 score & was surprised, starting tuning back in, watched the extras. Missed the hit batter but I was talking to an Indians fan this am who told me it should have been a K. Not only would that have changed the game, maybe the series. No excuse for the runner to get caught napping like that. Was watching when that happened.

Saw the Nats/Cubs, Harper dang near hit one out of the stadium. Lester was Lester for the Cubs, Zim with the clutch jack, Gonzalez didn't pitch bad at all but made a huge mistake to Rizzo with the hanger. Don't get that as Rizzo ripped that pitch foul twice in his first AB. Why would he serve that up later? Like watching Murphy hit....great approach to hitting.

Didn't think the Yankees would get by Cleveland but they did. Yankees/Dodgers rematch of the late 70's. Plus I have never liked the Cubs. Don't dislike the Astros at all. They have a tough all around team. Going to be hard to beat. Brian McCann can call a game.

Good lord Dusty. I'm a big fan of Harper probably the best in baseball along with trout, but he didn't show up last night. Tre Turner from NC State will be a all star soon.

Mike Scott, JR Richards, Nolan Ryan, Jose Cruz and also the Biggio Bagwell days. Astros have never been in a world series that I can recall. Yankees up 4-0 might be a Dodgers/Yankees rematch of the 70's!! That would like a Lakers/Celtics series. It would be epic!!

He was on the Sox back then but didn't play in the post-season due to injury. Had a great career though, career .300 hitter with over 500 bombs. Aside from 05, he had some nice playoff moments as well. Terrific hitter during his career.

Just wondering.....are Cub fans going to go after Bartman again? LA smacks the Cubs 11-1, takes the NLCS 4-1, collects 16 hits in Game 5, but I'm sure those knowledgeable Cub fans will link this to The Bart Man....lol

Pulling for Houston but an LA/Yankees WS would be fun to watch.

LOL about Cubs fans blaming Bartman. Guess he isn't polishing his WS ring. Don't have a dog in the fight. Used to hate the Yanks because I was a Mets fan, but that ended after 9/11.

    Dusty gone again.
Verlander was almost perfect last night. Walks are like errors can always spell unearned runs. Sanchez on a 3-0 check swing on a slider!! SMH!! Well Judge hit another one about a mile. It was time for Altuve to come out of his slump. Too good a hitter.
Game seven at seven big CC has been lights pitching after a Yankees loss.
Cant stand the Cubs. The only Cub I ever liked was The Hawk!!
Going to be hard to beat the Dodgers!!

Verlander has some nasty stuff. Was pulling for the Cubs last season due to the long drought. Glad to see them "break the curse" and get off Bartman's back for a year (being serious about that). I've always had an issue with hitters swinging at 3-0s because of what happened with Sanchez. Too anxious and assuming the pitch is coming down main street. Pitchers aren't as predictable as they used to be, imo. Hitters counts are not necessarily hitters counts anymore. Pitchers have gotten a little smarter ('bout time...lol). Agree with ya about walks as they always seem to bite you in the backside. Looking forward to the 'Stros/Dodgers...should be a good series. Hope the 'Stros take it.

Not a Cubs hater, Gunny. Once the playoffs started last season, I was pulling for 'em. 100 years is a long time. I have a strong dislike for a good number of their fans over the Bartman deal. Talk about clueless! True story - I'm having a discussion with a Cubs fan one day shortly after the Bartman incident. I was complimentary & told him to keep the faith as they were close. He immediately starts with the, "If Bartman doesn't.........", & I told him to stop it. Advised him that Bartman had nothing to do with it & the Cubs choked, especially their starting SS, who botched a DP grounder right after that that would have ended the inning. And then Dusty Baker adds fuel to the fire when asked about it following the game, which is why I have no respect for him as a manager. Cubs just didn't get it done and they can blame themselves, which I'm sure most of the players do. They know! I always liked Mark Grace as a hitter, like Rizzo & Bryant
