    Got a friend whose wife is a big Auburn fan, he is a Pack grad, they were tickled with Auburn's big win. It seems to me there are about 10 or so teams each that are given the benefit of the doubt when the season starts, all other teams must work some magic to get in, the chosen few can get in with one loss, others must go undefeated, one of those unchosen may slip in if LSU whips Georgia which I think they will.

    Glad I didn't gloat over Duke's loss because Michigan beat the Heels, who barely beat Oregon for the third place game. This is not a great Carolina team. Cole Anthony has come down to earth a bit against better competition.

    Max - got caught io in Thanksgiving. My belated picks:
    VT beats UVA ( know this one was played, but would have picked VT)
    Wake beats Syracuse(doesn't look possible, but that is my honest pick)
    Clemson over South Carolina,
    Georgia tops GT,
    BC over Pitt.
    Miami gets the win over Duke, Going with my head: State keeps the Heels out of a bowl. L'VILLE over Kentucky. FSU ends the year with a loss Clemson beats Virginia in the ACCT Clemson does not repeat as National Champions, but Bama is kept out of the playoffs !

    I don't know why the past few Panthers games have been on CBS either. Terrible year for the Panthers. Read that ever since that black cat walked onto the field at Giants stadium, all teams named after cats have lost. Too funny.

    I am fed up with all of it,Rudolph, Garrett, Kap, Mayfield, all the announcers that change from week to week on who is the front runner for MVP,the Heisman has been hi jacked by ESPN. Paul Hornung would never win the heisman today.

    T - well said about Mason Rudolph/Myles Garrett. Sick of it. And now Garrett claims racial slurs. Give me a break.

    And Kap. Just show up. Don't blame him for not trusting the NFL, but show up and ball out. Changing venues at the last minute? Wearing that t-shirt?? Does he really want to play? Smart man with poor decisions.

    Sick of all the drama in the NFL.

    Panthers having an awful year. Kyle Allen isn't the answer. Think Tepper will do something in the off season. Panthers didn't do Cam any favors.

    Max - agree about soccer. Don't care for it. Respect the athletes because they're in amazing shape but don't like the game. WRAL did give up a lot when they switched to NBC. Still forget and think they're CBS at times.

    Not looking forward to the State game next week. State will bring everything they have to keep Carolina out of a bowl. Look at the way they came back against GT in the second half.

    Duke/ Wake tied at 10 in horrible weather.

    Toddler you are so right, I saw how people were treated in 50's and 60's and it was even worse before I was born, things are not perfect but they are much much better than they were back then. It seem like the me generation is coming into football now, it is gonna be unreal in about 10 years, It may have been before but I noticed in the game against Louisville, the media guy with the red hat that stands on the field until the tv commercial is over now he has a clock that count downs the minutes, I can understand why games last over 3 hours yet they are always asking how they can speed the game up, unless they cut back on commercials it cannot be sped up, they are changing the game so they can sell more products.

    Tired of hearing about the helmet swinging. Just glad he wasn't seriously hurt. Bottom line he was awful all night. Defense cant carry you forever. On another note tired of Kapernick also. It was planned that he would switch venues. No high school allows anyone to hold any type of venue without dollars up front. Slave shirt because WRAL wouldn't let me type out what was on the shirt. Are you kidding me? Re run of Roots was just on yesterday. You cant compare yourself to a slave. What was your point? You my friend don't know what being a slave is and people still defend you. Please go away and get a job. I mean you do have a degree??

    I keep hearing about making the safer, as in life in general, the younger generation, seems to have a holier than thou attitude, lot of the young QB's coming into the league seem to have a chip on their shoulder, few years ago Manzeil, now Mayfield and like you said Rudolf did not swing the helmet but he was a little chippy. On the Saturdays when State did not play I noticed wral ch 5 is force feeding soccer down you throat, I do not like soccer, probably their main audience is large cities filled with transplants, I think they made a mistake going with NBC, they lost, Masters, NCAA tournament, college FB and BB

    Max - are you talking about the UNC/Pitt game? I don't like what UNC's OC has done this year. He calls plays the team can't implement. How many close games does Carolina have to lose?
    If State loses tonight, it will come down to the last UNC/State game to see which team will be bad-bowl eligible. I have a feeling State will win though.

    I guess you heard about that debacle in the Pittsburgh/Cleveland game. Unbelievable. Cleveland is the most penalized team in the NFL. Kitchens isn't doing a good job. Mason Rudolph isn't 100% innocent either, and I expect him to be fined. No place for that behavior. Rudolph could have been seriously injured by that helmet hit.

    Pack was outmatched, Clemson had their A game going on, I would hope being left out of the top 4 would not be what Clemson needed to play good. Was disappointed that Dabo felt like he had to tack on another score with only seconds to play. I remember years ago, Sheridan was up 48-3 against UNC was inside the 5 and kneeled the game out. They have said he did for style points, sadly if college football has come to that. I had heard but not realized it until I checked it out, there were 3 walk ons playing in the final quarter. I was really looking forward to this season but sometimes it is not your year.

    DD has had a tough year but he will bounce back, lot of thin skin people want to fire him-they are small in number but they make noise, think of them are not even fans just trolling. I am just now getting back to watching NFL, if he comes back and starts his sheet, I am gone. As a combat veteran I take it personal when someone disgraces the anthem and the flag, just find another way to say what you need to say. D. Burnette has been on staff for several years, this is the first something like has happened, do not think it has anything to do the strenght and condition staff, just on of those thing, injuries do happen, I think they have had more than their share this year.
    If they would make a bowl game this year I think you have to feel good about the year.

    Max, two years ago, Carolina players were dropping like flies. THey lost two QBs in one game. It was some incredible number of players they lost - for the year! Fedora, to his credit, never made that an excuse. I wasn't a fan of his Red Bull personality, but he didn't make excuses. WHen I saw THREE State players laying on the ground AT ONCE, I couldn't believe it. Injuries like that make me question the strength and conditioning staff. But who knows. Heard those three players will be available this week, so that's good.

    I wish Carolina would be bowl eligible before the game with State, but I don't see them beating Pitt. I see talent on the team, but they're losing close games.

    Can't believe the season is almost over. Love that basketball (my favorite sport) has stated, but I'm not ready for football to be over.

    Kaepernick is having a private tryout for all NFL teams this Saturday. Strange.

    I think Larry Fedora can probably sympathize with DD and the injuries, he went thru something similar a couple of years ago, 10-12 key injuries can destroy a team chances at a good season

    Duke beats Syracuse--FSU beats Alabama --whoops State----VT beats GT--if UNC beat were at home I would go with them --Pitt at home wins---If State were on the road I would pick them to lose-I will go with the Pack-I think either State or UNC could go either way---If the Pack doesn't get that bad taste from last week out of their mouth -could be a long night.--this weeks game and next weeks games could make the final for UNC and State a make or break bowl game.

    FSU was dreadful, and while I think coaches should be given time to develop a program, I don't think Taggart was the guy to get it done.

    I think Doeren has a ceiling and with very talented teams, he only went so far. State is decimated by injuries like Carolina was last year, so unlike Fedora, Doeren deserves to keep his job.

    Carolina loses another heartbreaker. Thought it was a poor decision to go for the TD instead of a FG in the first quarter. Oh well. Will be tough for Carolina to win 2 of their last 3 games to be bowl eligible.

    On a site this morning lots of fans want Doeren fired, I don't think it will happen, if he ends up 4-8 it could get interesting if some donors put on the heat, Pack has had plethora of injuries this season-lots of first year players. I may have to break the mold with Clemson coming to town and pick Clemson next week.

    Beverly has had ups and downs, but overall a good and talented player. I think Keats was a home run hire by State. He brings stability, and doesn't make his goal just to beat Carolina. He wants to win, period. I've liked most of State's BB coaches, but not Gott as much as the others.

    Max, I'm in favor of who will do the better job, not fill the spot with a woman just to satisfy some EEOC requirement. ESPN has women everywhere, and most are eye candy, just a few older who are really good at what they do.

    I think State beats Wake. That's become a good rivalry game. I can't believe how fast the season is going. Glad to see Alabama drop to #2, for all that may mean (not much).
    Saw where Duke barely beat a podunk school. Maybe his one and dones will have to stay another year.

    watching games yesterday, I just noticed lot of the networks have women on the broadcast teams, are sideline reporters and they are eye candy, why don't they give some of jobs to some of the ladies that are good and just not eye appealing- Pam Oliver still does sideline reporting and thats all, I remember the Panthers very first game, I went to it and she was working that game, that was over 20 years ago, I know there some that are good at the job. I started thinking about Gayle Gardner, she was good, real good, I saw where she retired in the early 90's-its hard to think she is almost 70-oh well, not looking forward to the Wake game, I will pick the Pack and hope but I think Wake may be to Strong.

    The DUke/Carolina game was UGLY with a capital U. ALmost unwatchable at times. Howell had a terrible game, and UNC tried their hardest to lose the game, but managed to pull out the W. Very happy for the guys and Mack, who was almost in tears he was so happy. Coastal Division is a mess. Carolina has a very good QB (although he didn't look it yesterday), and their defense has improved a lot. Very impressed with Surratt, to go from QB to defense, and play so well. But they still look sloppy and make boneheaded penalties. Miami Pitt game wasn't any better - unwatchable at times.
