We have breaking news. I like the breaking news when I have no idea what's happening. I'm on pins and needles. Uh This according to Matt Matt Norlander, the CBS, if I remember correctly, RJ Davis to return RJ Davis coming back to Chapel Hill, RJ Davis to return. So they got Seth trimble out of the portal back to UN C and RJ Davis to commit to coming back to UN C like two hours apart. If you're, if you're a UN C fan, I mean, I'm not advising you to do anything you might want to buy a lotto ticket or something. So, yes. So this is uh according to Matt Norlander. Um according to sources telling CBS Sports what the official announcement expected to be in the next few days, but RJ Davis is on board to return along again with Seth Trumbull and obviously Elliott Cao to return. So that's massive for North Carolina. That is huge for North Carolina, especially after Harrison Ingram announced he's, he was going into the draft over the weekend. Um I mean, there's a world where this is the most impactful decision of the off season because he is the AC C player of the year. He is the best shooting guard in the country according to the Jerry West award. He is what will certainly be one of the, the top betting favorites for, uh naismith player of the year this year. And he's coming back to a team that, you know, has room for him. Actually. Now that Seth Trimble is coming back, there might be a little bit of a, a stockpile of, of players on the perimeter for Un C Elliott Cao reportedly coming back, Ian Jackson, one of the top recruits in the country coming into this year. Uh uh You, you put in Seth Trimble who's now out of the portal and back RJ Davis. Uh That's a wildly talented and deep backcourt. If I'm, if I'm Hubert Davis, I'm saying, thank you guys. The backcourt is good. Let's go work on the front court. Let's go see how we're gonna replace Armando Baycot and Harrison Ingram and particularly their, their rebounding and strength. But the, the backcourt that's one of the best backcourts in the country right there for UN C and probably has a, a decent argument for, for best. That's a very, very talented backcourt for, for UN C and a lot of experience too. RJ Davis is gonna break so many longevity records. There's a bunch of he's already beat like he's, he, he's high up there on lists and stuff anyway, he's just gonna extend that even further. He he's gonna have his name all over the UN C record book. Armando Bacot is probably going good. Now, I won't just have most games played, most AC C games played. Like somebody else will be up there with me. But, uh, but hey, that's, that's great news for UN C fans. I can't emphasize that enough. Say it again. That's according to Matt Norlander CBS. Well, he's anticipating an official announcement sometime here in the next couple of days. So, so basically, sometime this week they have to get their sizzle reel put together, right? The I'm coming back on unfinished business statement, maybe some nil deals to work out. There might be a lot of money involved. Uh Wow. And so Trimble and Davis back the news leaks within two hours of each other, three hours of each other. It's a great afternoon for Tar Heel basketball. Yeah, because Cao Tremble Davis returning along with Washington, coming back along with uh Jalen Withers, coming back, Jackson and Powell and Jackson Powell, these recruits that are coming in as well. Drake Powell. It's a nice looking. I still think they need probably two, maybe one or two more posts, strength guys out of the portal, but I mean, they'll be able to score with that backcourt.
