Most memorable moment in sports history: 5 way tie: UNC 1982, NCSU 1983, Duke 91-92, Hurricanes Stanley Cup, 1999 U.S. Open Championship at Pinehurst.
Favorite sports venues: Wrigley Field, Reynolds Coliseum, Bank of America Stadium, Pinehurst #2. Bank of America Stadium was built in Uptown Charlotte by patrons. Great views. The other venues all exude history-in great quantities.
If I wasn’t working in sports I would be: Working in some other phase of journalism. Reporting on politics and state government; Reading newscasts somewhere on radio or television. Would enjoy doing weather-except I have no science background!
