Ardrey Kell High School alum Cedric Gray's NFL dreams have become a reality. The former University of North Carolina linebacker was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round with the 106th overall pick.

Gray is the second Ardrey Kell graduate to be drafted in last five years. Julian Okwara was picked by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Measuring in at 6-foot-1.5 and 234 pounds, Gray did well in the pre-draft process. He was one of the better linebackers at the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl. At the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, Gray ran a 4.64 40-yard dash, hit a 35.5-inch vertical jump, and did 17 reps in the bench press.

Gray was named First Team All-ACC for the Tar Heels in 2023. He totaled 121 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, five sacks, one interception, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. His career numbers in Chapel Hill were 368 total tackles, 29 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, five interceptions, and five forced fumbles.

When Gray was a member of the Knights' football team in high school, he was a star wide receiver. Over three seasons on varsity, Gray tallied 143 receptions for 2,467 yards and 27 touchdowns. Defensively, Gray had 130 total tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, three interceptions, and a forced fumble during his final two seasons. Ardrey Kell finished with an 11-2 overall record when Gray was a senior.
