South Stokes' Justin Rogers is the 5th Northwest 1A coach to leave this offseason

Justin Rogers is the latest head football coach in North Carolina to leave his post this offseason. He told HighSchoolOT yesterday that he has stepped down from South Stokes. Rogers is a graduate of South Stokes and took over the program during the 2022-23 offseason.

Rogers is joining new West Stokes High School head coach Trent Lowman on his staff in King. His family is having a baby, so more time at home will be required.

In South Stokes' lone season under Rogers, the Sauras finished with a 2-9 overall record. South did make the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 1A West playoffs, where it lost on the road in the first round at Bishop McGuinness by a score of 50-8.

South Stokes competes in the Northwest 1A Conference. The Sauras are the fifth team in the conference that will have a new head coach in 2024. The others are Mount Airy, Alleghany, Elkin, and Starmount. See a list of each name that is in and out below:
