With a name like hers, you wouldn't expect Summer Britcher to be a three-time Winter Olympian, but after competing in her first games at 19, she is now a seasoned veteran who knows that in luge, experience can put a spring in your step.
I'm summer Britcher. I do luge and I'm from glen rock pennsylvania team Usa is summer going after it on the start. Beautiful out of 15. She looks fantastic on the sled track record and summer's pumped. So to be a successful Luger. Um, it's very experience based when I was younger, I didn't really focus on really having good habits because I was young and I could get away with it. This is a different slider than the one we saw four years ago in Sochi when she was just 19. I've put a lot more focus on being responsible with my diet. Really paying attention to things like sleep and recovery, healthy stuff is just clean protein chicken carbs so I can actually perform and do my sport. I really like kale, so I'll do kale in my smoothies or kale salads after I've gotten all of the healthy stuff. I like ice cream, hamburgers, french fries, cheese. It, you know, I'm like really uncoordinated when it comes to the artistic side of sports, like gymnastics, dancing. Really bad. I've been good at the other side of sport, soccer, volleyball, things like that. Richard has the lead on victorian. That was such a good run. That is a great podium right there. I can do a split jump though. Could you do that in heels or no, I can try. Mm hmm. Mhm. That's awesome. That's the extent of my gymnastic. That was very good. This is why you don't tell anyone you have hobbies and they ask you to prove it
